What is it?
TripAdvisor is one of the most popular metasearchers: it collects feedback from guests and offers a price comparison service, also allowing to show a partner Booking Engine.
WuBook is a Certified Premium Partner of TripAdvisor and, via Fount technology, allows users to book at your property.
Costs and Business models
The ZaK-end cost of connection to this metasearcher will be the same as one channel (so it depends on how many channels you have connected).
On the other end, the cost on TripAdvisor side will depend on which of the two business models you choose:

TripConnect Cost Per Click: the guest will be redirected to ZaK Online Reception to book (so it must be subscribed in ZaK)

TripConnect Instant Booking: the guest can book directly on TripAdvisor page
Both models must be enabled directly on your TripAdvisor profile.
How are models displayed on TripAdvisor?
For both models, you find the official site price and the "View deal" button. By clicking on it, you'll be redirected to ZaK Online Reception (Cost Per Click) or you'll be able to book on TripAdvisor (Instant Booking):
Requirements before proceeding
- You must already have an account on TripAdvisor. Make sure, in the Settings section, that WuBook is indicated as your Provider.
- ZaK Online Reception must be subscribed only if you use the Cost Per Click model.
- Your property information entered on TripAdvisor must match perfectly with that entered on ZaK. You can find more details at point 2, "Check property information".
- If you were already using TripAdvisor on WooDoo, you don't need to disable it. Just make sure that one model is enabled.
Useful info
- ZaK does not send TripAdvisor cancellations of reservations.
- If the reservation is cancelled, the monthly cost for the channel is still generated in WuBook.
- If your prices are not competitive enough compared to other channels on which you are selling, TripAdvisor may not show your property.

There are 3 services you can activate to increase the visibility of your property and your reservations: Sponsored Placement, Business Advantage and Reputation Pro. They should be activated and managed directly with TripAdvisor.
- If you want, you can enable different products/rates for TripAdvisor than the Online Reception.
- For the Instant Booking model, only travellers visiting Tripadvisor from the following countries will see the InstantBooking button on Tripadvisor: Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, United Kingdom, United States.

How to enable TripAdvisor?
Let's now see one by one the steps to add and configure TripAdvisor in ZaK.
1. Add the channel
First you need to add the channel by clicking on the +, at section:

Once added, click on the channel name to access it. Click now on "CONNECT" button:
You'll be redirected to the INTRO section, where you find generic info about TripAdvisor.
2. Check property information
By default, we will send TripAdvisor the information about your property that you entered in the following menu, so property name, address and also coordinates (latitude and longitude):

If you have several properties and need to enter different addresses, you can edit your business information in the TripAdvisor channel under "OPTIONS". At this point, we'll send this information to TripAdvisor:
3. Enable rooms and rates
Now in the PRODUCTS section you can add all the products and rates to be sold on TripAdvisor. Select and add them one by one:
Enabled products will displayed below in blue. This way ZaK will start to update that room/rate on TripAdvisor.
At any
time, if necessary, you can quickly close the sale of the room by
clicking the icon :
4. End
At this point you will have completed the configuration in ZaK. You will have to wait about a week for your property to be displayed and bookable on TripAdvisor.
How to disable TripAdvisor?
To deactivate TripAdvisor, just delete the channel in ZaK (at Sales>Channels) by clicking on "remove". Also remember to suspend the campaign on TripAdvisor side.
What to check if TripAdvisor is not working?
- Are property info on WuBook equal to those on TripAdvisor? Did you enter coordinates too? (see point 2)
- Did you enable of of the two models on TripAdvisor? Do you have an active campaign?
- Is WuBook set as Provider on your TripAdvisor profile?
- When did you enable the channel? Did you wait one week at least?
- Is the channel in ZaK active or is it paused/suspended?
- Is ZaK Online Reception subscribed? (for the Cost Per Click only)
