ZaK - Mini Site: SEO configuration for each page

What is SEO information?

SEO information can be defined for each page of your mini-site and is necessary to optimize the indexing of your site in search engines. In other words, it helps users to find you better on the web.

Therefore a good management of SEO information will lead to:

- first or second page placement in the search engine

- more clicks to your website

- increased conversion and direct reservations

In detail, SEO consists of three elements, which we will look at one by one:

  • Title
  • Description
  • Keywords

1. Title

The title is the page name that is shown in the search engine results. For example:

Here are a few tips for defining the Title in the best possible way:

  • Each page must have its own Title, so that the user can find exactly what he's looking for.
  • The title should briefly summarize the content of that page, in order to convince the user to click on it.
  • The length should not exceed 60-70 characters, otherwise the title will be cut off by the search engine if it is too long.
  • In the title, the important words should be inserted first, so that they have more relevance in the search engine, and then the name of the establishment at the end. For example, "Hotel Full Board Cristallo", in which I place the most important words first ("hotel" and "full board") and then the property name ('Cristallo').
  • If your prices are very competitive, you can also include the prices or other information such as "low cost" in the title to distinguish yourself from your competitors.

Despite this, sometimes search engines don't show the title you set in the search results. For example, when:

- your title doesn't match with the user's request

- the title contains too many keywords

- the search engine has found a better, more suitable title.

We suggest you consult the website linked below, which carefully explains the rules for a perfect title:

2. Description

A Description is a text displayed in the search results, briefly explaining the content of that page. For example:

Here are a few tips to help you define your description in the best possible way:

  • Each page must have its own unique Description, so that the user can find exactly what they are looking for.
  • The description should briefly summarize the content of that page, so that the user is convinced to click on it.
  • The length should not exceed 150-160 characters, otherwise the description will be cut off by the search engine if it is too long.
  • Include terms that the user might use in their search, so that they are highlighted.
  • Include important information about the services you offer and the characteristics of your property, so that it will attract the user's attention and convince them to click on it.

However, in the case of Google, it sometimes doesn't show the description you set in the search results. For example when:

- Your description is not complete or does not contain enough information.

- Google has found better, more relevant content

In this case, Google extracts some text from your page and inserts it as a description. If you want to avoid this, just tag the text of that page with the data-nosnippet tag. You can find more information on this in the following Google manual:

@ Web:Meta tags that Google understands

3. Keywords

We have saved the most important topic for last: keywords! The success of your site depends above all on your ability to intercept users' search intentions and, consequently, to define the right keywords.

These are "hidden" contents, not publicly visible, but which are used by search engines to establish the relevance of the pages of your site with the words or phrases typed by users who search the web.

You should try to enter in these fields, for each page of your site and for each language you are interested in, as many words as possible you think your possible guest could use when he opens a search engine to plan his next stay. The right keywords can show your site to the right customers! The more precise you are, the easier it will be for search engines to find you.

Let's take an example: if your site concerns a villa in Tuscany with a swimming pool, you can enter at least these among the keywords: "villa", "Tuscany", "swimming", "pool", "kitchen", "typical", etc.

However, you should remember that finding the right keywords requires study and research, so much so that there is even dedicated software and consultants doing this job. You can find more information about these tools on the following website:
