By defining boards, you can have the meals chosen by the client automatically added during the booking process. You can also add a meal at a later time by assigning it from the reservation detail.
☞ Docs: ZaK - Reservation detail
The default boards available are as follows:
- Bed and Breakfast - BB: Only breakfast
- Half board - HB: Breakfast and dinner
- Full boards - FB: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
- All inclusive - AI: Breakfast, lunch, dinner and more
For the properties that use only one board (for example a B&B) this feature could be unnecessary because in this case all the prices will always be configured for the sale with BB. For properties that also offer extra meals in addition to those included in the reservation price, it is useful to define the various boards.
1. Boards included in the Rates

2. Modifying boards
In any case, even keeping the Rate unchanged (i.e. the price and the cancellation rule), from the detail of the reservation it is always possible to change the board type, as shown in the image below.
NOTE: This change will not affect the price of the reservation, only the number and type of meals included in the price.
To add extra meals by charging for them, see point 4.3. Meals report
The Meals report lets you know the total number of breakfasts, lunches, dinners and all-inclusive meals over seven days. Here is the specific documentation:

4. Extra meals: extra costs
You may need to add extra meals beyond those included in the price. If you need to record an extra meal, you can assign it to the reservation directly from the detail by clicking on the "MEALS" box and on the +:
As you can see, you can always specify a different price when adding Extra Meals to your reservation. Or you can also configure the default price of your Extra Meals in the following section:
