ZaK - Online Reception: Reservation Model

In this section you can decide how your customers will confirm their online reservations. You have several options to choose from, let's see how to proceed together!

Configuration of guarantee methods


First of all, you must configure your guarantee methods for Online Reception refundable and non-refundable reservations. You can set the same method for both, or a specific one for each one. Usually we recommend being more "restrictive" for the non-refundable.

If you wish, you can also enable more than one method, so that the guest can choose which one to use while booking.

Application of guarantees at the Online Reception


Once set your guarantee methods, you can apply them to your Online Reception from the following section, choosing which one to use for refundable and non-refundable reservations:

Choice of guarantee when booking


During the final step of reservation, the guest will see the method you chose. If more than one, he will see them all and will be able to choose:



After the guest guarantees his reservation, it will enter Zak with confirmed status. If you chose the payment gateway Stripe for your guarantee method, then the guest will remain in the Online Reception to guarantee the reservation. If, instead, you chose another gateway, the guest will be redirected to the Guest Page to guarantee.

Reservations with no guarantee


In order to increase your direct reservations, you can also enable the possibility of booking with no guarantee to confirm the reservation. Just click on the specific button:


This way, customers will also find the following option when booking. Then they can choose to book without giving you any guarantee. You will have to contact the customer, and then confirm or cancel the reservation manually:


! ATTENTION: Even if you don't enable this option, you can still receive non-guaranteed reservations. There will not be the "Later Confirmation" option, but a customer may close the page at the last moment and not make the payment. Or he could make the payment but close the page too early, without waiting for final confirmation.

You will receive these reservations anyway, so that you don't lose potential customers: if you wish, you can contact the guest and find out if he'd like to book or not.

You can choose which status non-guaranteed reservations should have: confirmed, option (occupied availability) or offer (unoccupied availability):
