ZaK - Online Reception: Packages

The following section allows you to create packages for your guests to be shown during reservation:

Packages overview


First of all you will see the list of already created packages and get an overview of the active ones (green button). By holding down the icon you can drag them to define the order in which they should be displayed. For each one you can see details, edit or delete it:


By clicking on SETTINGS on the top right, you can choose whether:
  • show the "Packages" section in the Online Reception
  • show in the Online Reception a carousel with a preview of your available packages


New package creation


To create a new package, click the ADD PACKAGE button and choose the name, board and number of nights:


Once created, click on it to set all custom parameters. You will find 6 sub-sections, which we explain below one by one:


1. Setup


In this card you see a summary of the main details of that package. By clicking on "Link", you will open the page dedicated to that package. You can copy that link and give it to your guests!

Instead, by clicking on "Edit" you can set:

  • Package name
  • Number of nights it includes
  • Board
  • Cancellation policy (choose from those created at Products > Policies)
  • Guarantee method (choose from those created at Products > Policies > Guarantee methods)
  • Active or inactive status
  • Percentage discount: only to show the price crossed out and attract the customer's attention. The real package price will be the cost you set for the room + any extras
  • Shopping Window: this choice allows you to customize the package display in the Carousel. You have 3 options:
- Never: The package is never visible in the carousel
- Always: The package is always visible in the carousel
- When available: A check is made on any reservation dates and arrival dates that you have set. The package is only shown in the carousel if these dates are met.

NB: the Shopping Window only refers to the carousel and NOT to the "Packages" section of the Online Reception.


2. Rooms


Here you define all rooms included in the package, which can be one or more than one.

NOTE: If you add more rooms, it means that the package includes all of them. It does not mean that the guest can choose one of them. If you want to give them more choice, then you will have to create several packages, one for each room.

So add here all the rooms you want to include, choosing the type and also the physical room (optional). Set the price of each room, which will be used to define the package cost, and the occupancy of each room:


3. Extras


If your package also includes one or more extras, then you can add them here, choosing from those created at Products > Extras. Each extra you add will be summed up with the cost of the added rooms. And together they will define the total price of your package.


4. Reservation Dates


By default the package will always be bookable. If, on the other hand, you only want it to be bookable in specific periods, then you will have to define them in this section.
NOTE: these dates refer to when the customer makes the reservation, NOT the dates of the stay.


5. Arrival Dates


By default the package will always be bookable, for whatever date the guest searches for. If, on the other hand, you only want the stay to be bookable for specific dates, then you will have to define them in this section.
NOTE: these dates refer to the dates of the stay, NOT to when the guest makes the reservation.


6. Alternative Stays


Each package has a predefined number of nights, which you set at the beginning during creation. If you wish, you can also offer other possibilities from which the customer can choose (2 nights, 3 nights, 4 nights, etc.). For each possibility you can define a percentage price variation.

Example: your basic package is for 2 nights and costs 300€. You can define an alternative of 3 nights with +25%. So for 3 nights it will cost 375€.



Package Carousel in the Online Reception


Guests will now see a preview of the packages (carousel) during reservation. Of course only if you chose to show the carousel and according to the Shopping Window set within each package.
By clicking on "Show all packages" they will be redirected to the package section.

By clicking on "Show all packages" or on the "Packages" section on the top, you will access the page completely dedicated to packages! You will see them according to the order you have chosen and can click SHOW for more details:


Inside each package the customer will see the name and description, cost, rooms included (with photo and description), any extras included (with photo and description), board and cancellation policy.

At the bottom of the page he will be able to choose the dates on which he wants to use that package. Of course, if you have defined validity periods, only those will be available.


Package availability


Packages do NOT take into account any manual closures made by Tabla or Sytar. This is because the package does not have an associated rate plan from which to take closures. The package has its own price, which you define when you create the package.
So even if you close the dates and rooms of a package, that package will still be visible and bookable. The package will only respect the Reservation Dates and Arrival Dates defined within it.
