What is it?


Trivago is an important international metasearcher and through ZaK technologies it is possible to activate a promotional campaign on Trivago. In this way your website will appear on Trivago too and guests will be able to book directly on Trivago's interface. In addition, the connection will allow you to integrate on ZaK the reservations of the portal and to update prices, restrictions and availability, all automatically.

Costs and Business models


The cost in ZaK is the same as a channel (depending on how many channels you have connected).


On the Trivago side, there is just one business models that you can enable:
  • Fast Connect: the guest will be redirected to your Zak Online Reception in order to book.
Then on Trivago, for the Fast Connect, you can choose among two options: Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) or Cost Per Click (CPC).

How is the site displayed on Trivago?


On Trivago you will find the "Reserve" button. By clicking on it, you'll be redirected to ZaK Online Reception to book:


Requirements before proceeding


  • You must already have an account on Trivago Business Studio. Make sure, in the Settings section, that WuBook is indicated as your Provider.
  • ZaK Online Reception must be subscribed.
  • Your property information entered on Trivago must match with that entered on ZaK. You can find more details at point 2, "Check property information".

Useful info


  • ZaK sends to Trivago canceled reservations (in order to remove the commission on Trivago).
  • If you want, you can enable different products/rates for Trivago than the Online Reception.
  • Inside the channel, in the INTRO section, you will find a link to check how the Online Reception appears to those who book from Trivago:

How to enable Trivago?


Let's now see one by one what steps to follow in ZaK to add and configure Trivago.


1. Add the channel


First you need to add the channel by clicking on the +, at section:

Once added, click on the channel name (Trivago) to access it. Click now on "CONNECT" button:



You'll be redirected to the INTRO section, where you find generic info about Trivago.


2. Check property information


By default, we will send Trivago the information about your property that you entered in the following menu, so property name, address and also coordinates (latitude and longitude):

If you have several properties and need to enter different addresses, you can edit your business information in the Trivago channel under "OPTIONS". At this point, this will be the information we send to Trivago:



3. Enable rooms and rates


Now in the PRODUCTS section you can add all the products and rates to be sold on Trivago. Select and add them one by one:



Enabled products will displayed below in blue. This way ZaK will start to update that room/rate on Trivago. At any time, if necessary, you can quickly close the sale of the room by clicking the icon :


4. End


At this point you will have completed the configuration in ZaK. You will have to wait about two weeks for your property to be displayed and bookable on Trivago.

How to disable Trivago?


To deactivate Trivago, just delete the channel in ZaK (at Sales>Channels) by clicking on "remove".

Also remember to suspend the campaign on Trivago side.


What to check if Trivago is not working?


  • Are property info on WuBook equal to those on Trivago? Did you enter coordinates? (see point 2)
  • Did you enable the Fast Connect model on Trivago? Do you have an active campaign?
  • Is WuBook set as Provider on your Trivago profile?
  • When did you enable the channel? Did you wait two weeks at least?
  • Is the channel in ZaK active or is it paused/suspended?
  • Is ZaK Online Reception subscribed?
