Zak - Room Categories

From the menu below you can create the room categories, such as "double", "superior", "suite", etc. If you also sell rooms on Booking.com, you can create the same types you have on the portal. Eventuallty, you can add others to be dedicated to direct sales only.

Prices settings

The defaul price is the price that will be assigned to each day by default. In this way if you don't specify the prices you won't take the risk to sell rooms at a low price.

The min and max prices, on the other hand, are used to avoid making manual mistakes and entering too high or too low prices.

NOTE:  When changing prices from Tabla/Sytar, if you do not respect the min/max limit, the price change will not be applied.

Physical rooms and Products creation

For each room category you can define its physical rooms as well.

☞ Docs: ZaK - Physical rooms

! ATTENTION: The number of physical rooms that belongs to a specific category will define its "availability".

Physical rooms belonging to the same category will have the same price, restrictions and occupancy (such single use, triple use, etc, which will be defined by the Products linked to that room type).

☞ Docs: ZaK - Products

If a physical room cannot have the same sales conditions as another, you will have to create two different categories.

When creating a new Room Category, by checking the option "Automatic Room Setup" you can create its physical rooms and products immediately:

Zak will ask you how many physical rooms belong to the category you are creating (i.e. what is its "availability") and will automatically assign codes to them: if you don't like them, you can always modify them later. Then it will ask you for the possible occupations with which you can sell that room type: each occupancy corresponds to a different price and therefore to a Product.
