Updates - WooDoo

After channel activation, prices, availability and restrictions are automatically updated on the relevant portal for the maximum period that can be updated (check below the time limits of the various channels). Subsequently, each change of products and availability operated in WooDoo involves a new automatic update on the modified period. Same thing happens after receiving a new reservation, modification or cancellation.

In any case if you think it is necessary you can launch manual updates from the Woodoo > Channel Manager > Updates section. From the same section you can check all the updates sent.

Initially the update is queued allowing the WooDoo server to manage the list of numerous updates to be sent to the various portals. After about 2 or 3 minutes the update is made and passes to the Historical. In case the update fails, the track is inserted among the suspended updates.

Suspended Updates

Sometimes, when the WooDoo Channel Manager sends an update to an OTA portal, the latter may respond with an error message. In these cases the update is recorded as "suspended". Usually the errors that cause the suspension are temporary (for example due to a temporary downtime of the portal server) and in these cases the Channel Manager will automatically try again).

To relaunch a suspended update click on the "Relaunch" button. If the cause of the update suspension is persistent (or systemic) or if after several attempts, the update continues to fail, then the channel is suspended.

Historical Updates

All successful updates are recorded in the Historical Update. For Booking.com, HotelBeds and HostelWorld channels only, WooDoo records the entire XML code of the update, which can be found in the WooDoo > Channel Manager > Logs section.
